The charts below show the proportions of male and female students in four continents appropriate for attending secondary schools or receiving higher education in 2000. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Introduction
The two bar charts demonstrate the proportions of students of both genders who reached the age of going to secondary schools or universities in the year 2000. These students came from Europe, Africa, Latin America and East Asia.
Overview
Overall, far more students in Europe reached the age of receiving both secondary and higher education.
Body paragraph 1
In the first chart, all students in Europe were able to attend secondary school (100%). It can be seen that in Africa and East Asia, more male students than their female counterparts were able to attend secondary schools, at 30% and 20% in Africa and 50% and 40% in East Asia. In contrast, the percentage of female secondary school students in Latin America was 60%, which was 10% higher than that of male students.
Body paragraph 2
The second chart shows that European students accounted for by far the highest proportion, with 50% and 60% of male and female students going to universities. For the other three continents, there were more male university students than female ones. The figures for males in Latin America, East Asian and Africa were approximately 18.5%, 11% and 10.5%, while that for females were 18%, 10.5% and 5% respectively.
