The chart below shows the percentages of the world population in four countries in 1950, 2002 and 2050. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Introduction
The bar chart illustrates the changes in the proportion of the world population in four different nations over a century.
Overview
Overall, there will be a downward trend in the percentages of world population in China, America and Japan, while an opposite one is expected in the India. Meanwhile, China constituted by far the largest percentage of the world population of these four countries initially, but India will rank the first in 2050.
Body Paragraph 1
More specifically, the world population in China was 25% in 1950, which was around five times higher than the figure for the USA and Japan at approximately 7% and 4% respectively. During the next 52 years, there was a slight fall in these three countries, whose figures reached 23%, 5% and 3% in 2002. It is estimated that the proportion in China and Japan will continue to decrease to 17% and 2% in 2050, while that in the USA is likely to stabilise.
Body Paragraph 2
The proportion of the world population in India, on the other hand, experienced a rise during the first half century, from 15% to 18%. However, the figure is predicted to increase to 20% in 2050.
