The chart below shows the number of men and women studying full-time and part-time in further education in Britain in three periods. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Introduction
The bar chart illustrates how many males and females received full-time and part-time education in the UK in three periods, namely 1970-1971, 1980-1981 and 1990-1991.
Overview
Over the three periods, the number of men who studied part-time was firstly 1,000 million, and then, it dropped moderately to around 820 million before rising slightly to 850 million. By contrast, there was an upward trend in the number of women taking part-time study. Although during 1970/71 and 1980/81, the figures were lower than those for men, at 630 million and 810 million, yet it eventually reached 1,100 million in 1990/91, overtaking that for men by 200 million.
Body Paragraph 1
In terms of people enrolling in full-time further education, the number of both genders saw a rise. Initially, around 100 million men and only about 50 million women were full-timers. After that, a gradual and a noticeable rise were recorded in both genders, and the figures were the same in the end, at 250 million.
Body Paragraph 2
Overall, there were considerably more part-time students than full-time ones regardless of genders in all three periods. Meanwhile, while the figures for both types of female students experienced a growth, the number of male part-timers saw a general fall but that of males studying full-time kept climbing.
