The graph below shows the changes of Japanese average monthly salary from 1953 to 1973, together with prices of black and white TV and colour TV in Japanese Yen during this period. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Introduction
The line graph illustrates the amount of money the Japanese earned every month and how much money they paid for a black/white TV and a colour TV between 1953 and 1973.
Overview
Overall, while the average monthly salary of Japanese residents increased, there was a downward trend in the prices of these two types of TV.
Body Paragraph 1
In 1953, the Japanese only earned approximately 25,000 Yen per month. Then, the figure rose gradually to 75,000 Yen a decade later prior to soaring to 200,000 Yen in 1973. Regarding the prices of TVs, people spent up to some 175,000 Yen purchasing a black and white TV set in 1953, but luckily, this 20-year period saw a dramatic fall in its price, ending at just below 50,000 Yen.
Body Paragraph 2
Similarly, the price of a colour TV, which did not start to be sold until 1958, also decreased, at around 170,000 Yen initially. After that, it dipped noticeably to 100,000 Yen in 1963 but had reached about 80,000 Yen by 1973. What needs to be mentioned is that the Japanese could afford a black and white TV and a colour TV with their monthly salary in 1963 and 1965 respectively.
