Overview
Overall, as age increased, the percentage of individuals utilizing the internet for communication experienced a significant decline, while that of postal services and telephones exhibited an upward trend. Mobile phone usage remained constant for those under 60 but declined sharply in the over-60 group.
Body Paragraph 1
For individuals under 18 years old, half of them employed the internet to communicate with family and friends, with 30% utilizing mobile phones, but postal services and landline telephones were less popular. In the 18-35 group, the order of preference for the four methods remained the same, but the gaps between them narrowed, ranging from 40% as the highest to 10% as the lowest.
Body Paragraph 2
Individuals aged 36-60 showed a different pattern, relying more on telephones (35%) and mobile phones (30%). The figures for postal services and the internet were similar, at approximately 20%. For seniors over 60, nearly half of them preferred telephones, considerably higher than that of other groups. Additionally, about 40% of them used postal services to connect with others, while the proportions for mobile phones and the internet were notably smaller.
