Introduction
The bar chart illustrates how many families in five different nations had broadband internet access in 2001 and 2002, while the table depicts how the percentage of this type of families changed during this one-year period.
Overview
Overall, South Korea and the USA had more households with broadband internet connection than Germany, Switzerland and Britain, but Britain was the country with the biggest change.

In terms of South Korea and the USA, approximately 12.2% of South Korean families had access to broadband internet in 2001, compared to 9.3% of American families. By 2002, however, the figure for the USA had jumped by 170% (reaching 25.11%), whereas the growth rate in South Korea was considerably lower, at 20%.

Regarding Germany, Switzerland and Britain, there were merely around 0.35% of households having broadband connection. However, all these three nations saw a rise albeit to widely varying degrees, with significant increases of 80% and 120% in Germany and Switzerland respectively and the most rapid climb of 230% in the UK.
