The charts and table below show the percentage of customers choosing different kinds of websites when shopping online and the percentage of customers shopping online for different reasons in two countries in 2012. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Overview

Overall, the data indicates a preference to utilize both overseas and local websites for shopping among the Oceanian consumers, who emphasized lower price as the primary determinant when making the shopping decisions.

Body paragraph 1

Notably, individuals in both countries exhibited similar patterns in their website preferences, albeit with just minor percentage discrepancies. Specifically, 64% of people in Australia and 50% in New Zealand opted for both overseas and local websites for purchases, accounting for the largest segment. Conversely, the figures for those only shopping on overseas websites were much lower (24% for Australia and 36% for New Zealand), while less than 15% of consumers favored local websites exclusively.

When delving into the motivations behind these choices, it is evident that over half of consumers in both countries prioritized the lower prices. While Australian shoppers (23%) viewed convenience another crucial factor (10% higher than its counterpart), the variety of goods ranked as the second most important consideration by customers in New Zealand (34%).
