The charts below show the percentage of time used for different activities in the office in the US in 1980 and 2000. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Introduction
The pie charts indicate how American people distributed their time to various activities in the office in two separate years: 1980 and 2000.
Overview
Overall, computer-related activities replaced phone-related ones to become the major activities over the period in question. Meanwhile, dealing with emails started to be a new activity in people’s daily work routine.
Body paragraph 1
In 1980, people allocated 30% of their working time to making phone calls. While the percentages of time used for dealing with paper documents and having meetings were similar at 20% and 19%, face-to-face communication and other activities also constituted about the same proportion, at 14% and 15% respectively. Only 2% of their time was spent on the computer.
Body paragraph 2
Two decades later, however, using the computer became the activity that people in the US spent the most time on, and the figure for this activity had soared to 30% by 2000. Interestingly, sending/receiving emails, which was not recorded at all in 1980, accounted for 8% of people’s working time. In terms of attending meetings, there was a rapid decline to only 6%, and the percentage of working on paper documents also dropped by half, reaching 10% in 2000.
