Overview
Overall, Liverton docks have been redeveloped significantly since the 1980s. They have transitioned from being a conventional dock to a multifunctional area serving educational, recreational, and residential purposes.
Body paragraph 1
In 1980, Liverton docks consisted of two sections: the northern and southern docks. A water area separated the docks, with designated lanes for ships entering or leaving the coast. The primary structures in the area were warehouses, with two located in the north and one in the south. Adjacent to each warehouse, there was a crane.
Body paragraph 2
Today, Liverton docks have undergone extensive redevelopment and have become a versatile recreational area. A new bridge has been constructed over the river, connecting the docks near the coast. Additionally, a flood barrier has been erected to the east of the bridge. The water area no longer accommodates ship traffic, but instead features a ship museum adjacent to the northern dock. The former warehouse in this vicinity has been repurposed as an education center and towards the east of it, there is a sailing club and a designated play area for children.
