The graph below shows the percentage of households owning the car in the UK between 1971 and 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Introduction
The line graph illustrates the changes in the percentage of British families which had the car from 1971 to 2007.
Overview
Overall, the percentage of families without a car saw a fall while more and more families had two cars. The figure for families owning one car did not change much, and that for families having three or more cars showed a rise.
Body Paragraph 1
In 1971, families without any cars accounted for by far the highest proportion, at nearly 50%. However, during the period in question, there was a rapid downward trend to around 26% in 2003, before a slight rise to 27% was recorded in 2007. In contrast, for the two-car family, the figure was only 10% in 1971, and then increased all the way up to the same figures for families owning no car in the last two years.
Body Paragraph 2
On the other hand, around 45% of UK families owned one car at the beginning, and the percentage remained almost the same during the three decades. Families which could afford three or more automobiles only represented a small proportion in this country, at some 1% in 1971, although there was a clear slight growth to 5% in 2007.
