It is better for society and individuals if driverless cars are widely used. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Introduction
It is argued that the public and the wider community will benefit with autonomous vehicles being applied to a multifarious range of uses. Personally, I totally concur with this statement because individuals can take advantage of their travelling time and meanwhile, there may be fewer road accidents.
Body Paragraph 1
The primary reason supporting my stance is that people can make full use of their commuting time. As the technology behind driverless cars becomes increasingly mature, these vehicles can safely navigate through the traffic themselves, making it possible for people to accomplish whatever they intend to do on the way to their destinations. For instance, if they do not have a sound sleep the previous night, they can take a nap to refresh themselves. They can also work on the presentation slides that will soon be used at an important conference.
Body Paragraph 2
Another important point I consider is the high possibility of traffic accidents being reduced. Compared with human beings, self-driving cars will strictly adhere to traffic rules and do everything in a risk-free manner so that traffic safety is ensured. In other words, different types of dangerous driving behaviour will never be exhibited, such as speeding, fatigue driving, drunk driving, emotional driving and running a red light. Thus, with the number of accidents decreasing, many lives that would otherwise be lost in car wrecks will be potentially saved.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I am strongly in favour of the viewpoint that the popularity of driverless cars can make significant contributions to both people and society. After all, people’s time can be used in a more proper fashion and car accidents are less likely to occur. Therefore, my suggestion is that self-driving cars be invested in and widely promoted.
