Bài viết mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 dạng Opinion Essay
Introduction
It is argued that there is no difference in the significant role that four skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing play in the acquisition of a foreign language. Personally, I totally concur with this because these skills are mandatory components in foreign language tests and are vital when people apply the language in their studies and work and everyday living.
Body paragraph 1
The primary reason supporting my stance is that foreign language test papers include listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In order to comprehensively assess non-native candidates’ language proficiency, authoritative test organisers worldwide, such as Cambridge Assessment English in the UK and Educational Testing Service in the USA distribute equal weighting to the four skills. Thus, test takers have to make a concerted effort to improve their language skills in these dimensions for achieving a higher score in each sector. Otherwise, they may not be able to attain a satisfactory result, hindering them from applying for universities, immigration and job positions.
Body paragraph 2
Another point I consider is that mastering these four skills assists language learners in achieving success in their learning, work commitments and daily routine. Students from non-English-speaking countries receiving higher education in nations such as Britain and Australia can understand what their lecturers are presenting, participate in tutorials, grasp the main ideas of journals and write dissertations. Employees working in an environment where the use of a foreign language is required will be able to not only communicate with their colleagues and clients completely in written and verbal ways, but also read files and produce emails. These skills are also much needed when people tackle daily issues in English speaking environments.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I reiterate my complete agreement that listening, speaking, reading and writing skills deserve the attention of people who are learning a language other than their native tongue. After all, if they gain the four skills, they will find it much easier to pass the test and deal with multifarious aspects in life.
