Bài viết mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 dạng Opinion Essay
Introduction
It is argued that newspapers will still be prevalent among people in the future, even if a rising number of people have now started to use the Internet to read news. Personally, I totally disagree with this idea because newspapers are not comparable to the new media in terms of convenience and the speed of publishing news.
Body Paragraph 1
The main reason why I do not believe that newspapers will continue to be used by many people is that they do not allow readers to enjoy the same convenience that modern digital media brings. There is a fact that people take newspapers with them at all times to get information. However, with a smartphone or a tablet, people find it much easier to acquire information regarding what is happening worldwide. No matter where they are, they can access information through the internet. Hence, it is not necessary for them to pick up a physical newspaper to read.
Body Paragraph 2
Another reason is that newspapers only report events from at least the previous day, which causes a delay in gaining information. Due to the process of printing newspapers and delivering them to news kiosks, articles on traditional newspapers cannot be updated frequently. With the technology advancing, if there is something occurring at other places within a particular country or in the world, media coverage on the events will be published online immediately, meaning that people dwelling in Europe, for example, can know about the events in Asian countries in a rapid and timely manner.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I vehemently dispute the viewpoint that newspapers will play a dominant role compared with the Internet in the future. This is because compared with electronic news mediums, traditional newspapers will neither provide readers with greater convenience, nor allow them to have rapid access to the information.
