On the one hand, proponents of the hard work and dedication viewpoint argue that these qualities are crucial for achieving success. They contend that individuals who possess a strong work ethic and are determined to overcome obstacles are more likely to persevere in the face of challenges. Many renowned entrepreneurs and athletes, for instance, have attributed their accomplishments to their relentless drive and unwavering commitment to their goals, regarding these qualities as essential ingredients for success.

On the other hand, others argue that external factors play a more significant role in determining one’s success. They argue that individuals born into privileged backgrounds or endowed with attractive physical features often have access to better opportunities and resources, giving them an arguably unfair advantage over others. In this perspective, success is seen as a result of circumstances beyond an individual’s control, rather than solely their own efforts.
