The graph below shows the number of overseas visitors to three different areas of a European country between 1987 and 2007. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Introduction
The graph shows the changes in the number of international tourists visiting three travel destinations, including the coast, the mountains and the lakes, in a European country over the two decades from 1987.
Overview
In general, all three areas had been attracting a growing number of travelers, and a widening gap can be observed.
Body Paragraph 1
The coastal area had gained consistent popularity among overseas visitors, though the number had a temporary fall from 40 thousand to 35 in the first five years. In the next 15 years, the figure shot up by a staggering 40 thousand, and by 2007, the coast had remained as the main tourist destination in this country.
Body Paragraph 2
The lakes witnessed the most significant change in its number of visitors from abroad. In 1987, only 10 thousand international travelers were reported to visit the lake area annually, whereas by 2002, this number had soared to 80, becoming the most visited destination. Unfortunately, this figure suffered a plunge to 50 in the last five years.
Body Paragraph 3
The mountainous area, however, did not show as much attraction for overseas visitors, with a fluctuating growth in the number from 20 thousand in 1987 to some 35 in 2007 when the mountains became the least visited area.
